Co-creating and exhibiting work with his wife, François-Xavier Lalanne made animal sculptures such as stone and bronze sheep sculptures like this piece. Flocks of Lalanne sheep have been exhibited at the Château de Chenonceau and on the streets of New York City. When placed in different outside environments, the sheep, placed outside in these different environments, assimilate the space itself as part of the artwork.
