This ceramic panel features the motifs Leach often liked to use, including a flying bird, a leaping deer, a pagoda, a well, and more. Leach's masterful drawing skills fill each tile with robust, poetic feeling. It was created to celebrate the completion of the Asahi Beer Omori Factory in Tokyo (closed in 2002), and was displayed at the factory entrance for many years. Connecting with its brewery setting, one of the tiles features a hop motif.
