A hall clock is an indoor large, tall clock, also know as a longcase clock in Britain and a grandfather clock in America. A pendulum and plum-bob are stored inside the long waist of the tower, powering the clock by swinging from side to side by the force of the device's own weight.
A pair of dolphins decorate the golden face of the clock, along with arabesque in the four corners, and the name “Thomas Coats Paisley” inscribed on the upper face.
